Oh the College Life for Me!

Friday, August 31, 2012

Oh college. How I've missed you. I don't know that I've necessarily missed the school part of college, (although I do absolutely ADORE all of my classes). I've mostly missed the college part of college if that makes sense. I've missed being busy, and having a set schedule and a social life (although I'm still working on that part...).  As Charles Dickens puts it: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." I think that's a pretty accurate description of college if I ever heard one. The best times definitely outweigh the worst times though. I've discovered a few things in my first week as a sophomore in college. As per tradition I give you a list.

You Know You're a 2nd Year College Student When:

1.Your bank account has exactly $12.13 in it.
2.Your feet ache from the amount of walking you've been doing.
3.You've had PB&J for the last 13 meals
4.You get homework on the first day of class.
5. Sleep becomes extremely precious and there is never enough of it.
6. You find every free food booth on campus to avoid having to make your own lunch or pay for it.
7. You avoid doing laundry until you're completely out of underwear.
8. Seeing someone you know on campus is always SUPER exciting.
9. You join in on the 'freshman bashing' only because you secretly wish you could still be one.
10. You work two jobs so you can pay for your groceries. And rent. And textbooks.

Sometimes I really miss kindergarten.

But only sometimes.

Love, Brontë
