You could say it was fate.
I don't remember exactly how we met or anything, (hey I was three!) it almost seems that she was always there, and that we were always friends. We were Kindred Spirits and Bosom Friends from the beginning.
Growing up, we spent practically every waking moment together. It was wonderfully convenient that our backyards were connected, and we spent hours upon hours there. We were pirates and princesses and runaways. We danced with fairies, (somewhat) fearlessly explored the swamp, made movies, wrote stories and played pranks on the boys that lived down the street. We created whole worlds together in that backyard. Boredom was not in our vocabulary.

Tay and I on our first shopping trip of many. |
Our friendship was automatic, there were no worries or insecurities that got in the way, we simply accepted each other exactly as we were, flaws and imperfections and all. We trusted each other with our silly little childish secrets, and as we got older, our deeper, darker and more serious ones. We told each other everything, our biggest fears, deepest wishes, most embarrassing moments and fondest dreams. There was never any judgement between us.
We laughed together, cried together and everything in between. We were always there for each other, even though we grew up and developed different friends and interests. She has been such an amazing example and light in my life. She is my best friend, my Soul Sister.
Today, she entered the MTC and started on an amazing new adventure. I know that she will be a fantastic missionary and will bring light and joy to all she comes in contact with. She has blessed my life in so many ways and I can't imagine how it would be without her.
I love you Sister Burningham! California is lucky to have you.
Love, Brontë
P.S. I already wrote her a 4 page letter. Don't judge.
