To the Girls of Regency 204

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned how much I adore my roommates. But in case it wasn't clear, here's a whole blog post dedicated to them. Because I love you girls.

So here it is:

Dear Andi, Michelle, Louisa, Alexis and Lauren,

I didn't really know what to expect coming into this school year. I thought I had this whole college thing down (sort of), but that was freshman year, which is an experience in and of itself. Anyway, looking back I've been realizing just how lucky I was to get all you amazing girls as roommates. Isn't it crazy that you can get so close to people in just two semesters? I don't know if I could have survived this school year if it weren't for you. You've been there for me when I needed it most, even if you may not have realized it at the time. Each and every one of you has brought such a unique and beautiful light to my life and I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you enough.

Andi, you have been such a huge role model for me this whole school year. You are positive and smart and hardworking and beautiful. Like, seriously beautiful. You are such a great listener, even if I've told you the same story like 8 or 9 times (which I'm sure happened a lot). You are so patient and kind, and truly care about the people around you (which made you a fabulous RS President) and I've learned so much by just watching your example. Also, thanks for not judging me when I peed my pants in front of you. Ha ha. I hope you have a fabulous time in China!

Michelle, you are one of the strongest people I know. We went through sort of similar trials this past semester (although yours was much harder than mine, I think) and I have been amazed at your strength and resilience every single day. You never gave in, and that helped me make it through the hard days too. I'm going to miss going to movies and singing Ke$ha at the top of our lungs and late night talks at the library and doing duct tape experiments. You are gorgeous and smart and talented and I know that you are going to be an amazing teacher!

Louisa, you seriously made me smile every single day. I'm so glad we got to room together this school year before you go on your mission. You are so beautiful and you have one of the brightest personalities and best sense of humor of anyone I know, I just love being around you! You have a gift for making people feel comfortable around you, and I love that we were able to have deep conversations about anything and everything. I know that you are going to be a fabulous missionary and the people of Ecuador are so lucky to have you!

Alexis, you are one of the most thoughtful people I know. You are so generous, and you spend so much time making the lives of those around you better. Thanks for being such a great listener, even when I'm being absolutely ridiculous, and also for being so supportive and understanding, because it really means a lot. You have taught me so much about what is really important in life simply by being you, and by quietly serving everyone around you. You are beautiful inside and out and I'm seriously going to miss seeing you every day!

Lauren, you are my best friend. I don't know what I would do without you. You have been there for me through everything and I don't think you know how much that has meant to me. Thanks for putting up with me even when I'm going through a mean/grumpy phase. You are one of the most beautiful and witty people I know, and I love your creativity and spunk as well. I'm so glad that I got to room with you, and that we didn't kill each other (despite all the people betting against us). You have been a rock for me this school year when I needed it most and I don't think I can ever express how grateful I am for you. I can't wait for next fall when we get to be roommates again!

I love all of you girls so SO much. I couldn't have asked for better roommates and friends if I tried. You are all so incredible and are going to do amazing things with your lives and I'm going to miss you all so much! And I know this post is kind of cheesy and gushy but I don't even care because every word if it is true. Also, you all had better stay in touch or else!

Love, Brontë
