This is a post dedicated to the amazing, incredible woman I am lucky enough to call my Mother. (And yes, I am aware it's 4 days late. Sometimes time just gets away from me.)
My mom is one of my best friends. I know that's super cliché but it's true. She has been there whenever I needed her, at the drop of a hat. I think everyone needs someone in their life that they can 100% count on, and for me that person is my mom.
Things I Love About my Mom:
-She's extremely smart. School smart, street smart, life smart you name it. And she always seems to come up with the perfect solution to whatever problem I'm dealing with.
-She has a fabulous sense of humor and isn't afraid to be herself. She can always make me laugh, even when I'm really grumpy or sad (which is not easy). She also has this great, confident, magnetic presence about her, which I'm sincerely hoping is genetic.
-She's extremely non-judgmental which, during my middle school/high school years was definitely something that preserved our relationship. It also means that I'm not afraid to tell her about dumb things I've done or mistakes I've made because I know that she'll love me regardless.
-She's really patient. I'm sure being the mother of 5 kids requires A LOT of patience, and she does it beautifully.
-She has a strong testimony and she knows what is right and does it. She has taught me so much by example in this regard, and I know that I can always look to her to do what's right and I'm so grateful for all that she's taught me about the gospel.
-She's so incredibly gorgeous, and thankfully THAT is genetic. I love it when people tell me I look just like her.
-She has been there for me through everything. Whether I was 7 and waking up with nightmares, 15 and disobedient or 19 and lonely in college she has been there while I laughed and cried and everything in between. I honestly don't know what I would do without her and everything she has done to make my life a good and happy one.
I love you Mom!
Love, Brontë
