Lessons Learned

These past few weeks have been incredibly busy. School is starting to pick up, and about five million things seem to be happening at once. Also college is doing its job (as usual) and teaching me things. Life has also had a few things to teach me these past few weeks. I thought I'd share a few lessons I've learned recently with you.

Lessons I've Learned This Month

1. Doing the reading for class really does make a difference.
2. It requires A LOT of work to be good at something.
3. It is possible for me to get 100% on a Biology test. Which means anything is possible.
4. If I watch Bones right before I go to bed, my dreams will either be some form of crime drama, or will contain characters from Bones.
5. If you're nice to other people, they will be nice to you.
6. I control my own happiness. What other people do or say does not.
7. Apartment hunting sucks.
8. My friends can always make me feel better on bad days.
9. There are still some Gentlemen left in the world.
10. Stepping out of my comfort zone to meet people is so worth it.
11. Sometimes Fortune Cookies come true.
12. Saving money is hard.
13. You win some, you lose some.
14. Reading my scriptures in the morning invariably makes my day better.
15. Ingrid Michaelson can make a hard day so much better.
16. Getting enough sleep is not optional. If it doesn't happen, I can't function.
17. Procrastinating does not bring happiness. It brings stress and grumpiness.
18. Participating in class makes it much more enjoyable.
19. Not all criticism is bad. A lot of it is actually really helpful.
20. Every day can be a good day.

Love, Brontë
