May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor

Okay let me explain. I adore the Hunger Games. I love the story, especially because it's about a strong female character and that really appeals to my feminist side. It is one of those books that you can't put down until you've finished it, no matter how many times you've read it before. And now they've made a movie out of it and I am SO excited. Also a bit apprehensive, because there is always a worry that they'll completely ruin the story (*ahem* Ella Enchanted...). However, from watching the trailers and reading interviews with the cast and crew, (yes I'm that person) I'm optimistic.

Also, Taylor Swift is singing a few songs on the soundtrack and she came out with a gorgeous one in December that I'm absolutely in love with. It is completely different from her usual music, and it's haunting and beautiful and it fits perfectly with the Hunger Games.

And yes, I will in fact be going to the midnight showing of the Hunger Games. Dressed up. You could say I'm a fangirl.
