Little Houses and Lemonade Stands

Thursday, June 21, 2012

For work today I was driving around Salt Lake City with my co-workers, and we ended up in the most adorable little neighborhood you've ever seen on the East side of the city. It was an older part of the city, and it had rows and rows of the cutest little houses you've ever seen! As we were looking at the houses and pointing out our favorite ones, I fell more and more in love with the charm and character that those little houses had. And of course, I started to day dream. I decided that one day I'm going to have a little white house with blue trim right on a beach somewhere.

It might look something like this (except with the color scheme mentioned above):

I also decided that I would have a cute beach cruiser bike:

And possibly a mini cooper that looks like this:

And of course a husband and children and all of that fun stuff. Don't worry, that's all still a ways down the road. But it makes for a good day dream.

On a completely unrelated note, I did something today that I promised myself I would NEVER do. I drove past a little kid's lemonade stand and didn't stop to buy any. Now, that may sound like a silly thing to be so worked up about, but I usually make it a point to pull over and buy a cup from these little entrepreneurs. After all, I was one of them not so long ago, and I remember the nice people that would always pull over and buy from me. So it's really the least I can do.  And I definitely won't slack off next time.

On a happier note, I have three missionary letters to write this week! Which has become one of my favorite things ever. And I'm going to a baseball game tonight with Alexis. Which is another one of my favorite things. It's a good day.

Love, Brontё
