Hooray For Weekends!

This weekend was the best one I've had in a long time. It's probably because I actually got out and did something instead of sitting on my butt at the computer like I have the past.... Well basically the whole summer. It's a problem. Anyway, this fabulous weekend started on Friday at work. Things were kind of slow so I decided to clean out my purse. (Really productive I know, but hey, it needed to be done). This is what I found: 

This is a treasure trove people. Trust me.

The contents include: 

16 bobby pins

3 erasers

4 fortune cookie fortunes

2 ticket stubs from an Owlz baseball game

1 movie ticket stub, from Brave (which was fantastic) 

1 wallet

3 sticky notes with various reminders written on them

1 bottle of lotion

2 sticks of lipgloss/chapstick

1 Tide-to-go pen

1 pin from my LDS Motion Picture Studio casting days 

1 notebook

and last but not least..... BUBBLES!! I don't think it's possible to have a bad weekend after you find bubbles in your purse. Needless to say, I was entertained for a good 45 minutes after that discovery. Yes, I am definitely still a child at heart.

After work, I drove up to Sandy with the Besties and we all rode the Trax up to City Creek. Basically I'm in love with that place. Good thing I only allowed my self $100 to spend there, or my poor friends would have been there with me all night. I adore shopping. And new clothes. So it was a win-win. Also, we went to Tiffany's to look around and pretend we were rich enough to buy something (ha!) and we discovered that out the back window of Tiffany's you can see a gorgeous silhouette of the Salt Lake Temple. I thought it was rather appropriate. I also had my first Roxberry smoothie and it was deeeeeeeelicious!

The Besties. Obviously we're not at City Creek but I was a genius (not) and didn't take pictures there soooo whenever I can get a hold of one from City Creek this will be replaced. For now just enjoy all the pretty faces!

Afterwards we went back to Kyla's house and ate homemade pizza and wedding cake. Also delicious. It was really nice to have some girl time (albeit, there were no boys to hang out with, with them being on missions and all, but still). All in all, it was a lovely evening spent with lovely people and I went to bed happy.

Saturday started off wonderfully, thanks to an 8 and a half hour sleep (which I haven't had for weeks!) and a delightful trip to the Provo Farmer's Market with Lauren, Kyla and Baby Sister. We got to sample fresh honey, Belgian waffles and the best limeade I've ever had! I also got this awesome beeswax lotion/skin balm stuff from these guys. It's seriously amazing, just a tiny bit is good for both hands!

It's Mediterranean Sea scented. Heavenly!

I also got this gorgeous Sunstone Ring. You could say it was love at first sight.

I pretty much adore the Farmer's Market. I could spend all day there. And all my money. Which is a problem because I still have to pay for school and stuff. Anyway, after the Farmer's Market I went to get a hair cut. And my hair turned out MUCH shorter than I would have liked. I may or may not have been suuuuuuuper grumpy about it the rest of the day. But it's okay because later that evening I went to a YSA dance with the Besties (the Horrible Haircut was put nicely away in a french braid) followed by a midnight snack at Denny's. Which is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night. So no complaints here (except about the hair).

Sunday was good because I had a new outfit to wear to church (hooray!). Also because I got two missionary letters this week, one from Elder Wesley Valdez and one from Elder Scott Houghton. I ended up writing four letters because I was on a roll, and felt wonderful and accomplished after I finished.

This evening I went on a walk-n-talk with my fake sister Sammy-Sam. It was another lovely evening spent with lovely people. Hooray for Weekends!
