Traveller: One who travels or has traveled, as to distant places. (British spelling)
Hello from Dublin! It's been quite the wild ride, and lots of things have miraculously fallen into place to get us here. So that's been good. So the cool thing about flying Aer Lingus is that the airplane is actually green! Very Irish. Also the stewardesses were all dressed in these little cute green uniforms. And they had excellent service, and if I wasn't still sick it would have been a perfectly lovely flight.
This darn sickness. I'm sure there's something I'm supposed to learn from all of this that I haven't learned yet, but this trip would be much less hectic without my little uninvited companion, the flu. And I wasn't expecting to get homesick at all, because I've never really been homesick before, but this illness has been making me miss home a lot. I miss my family, especially my parents, because it's kind of scary being in a completely new place without any of the comforts of home. Also I miss my mountains.
But you know what? I know that I'm being taken care of. Ever since I stepped off that plane the Lord has guided and directed everything that I needed to do and things have all just fallen into place. Even when there was a little snag in our plans one way or another, it has all miraculously worked out. And despite the scariness and stress, I'm still really enjoying myself and learning so much and I've only been here one day!
And now for some random airport pictures:
I think my favorite thing about this plane, besides it being green is the clover. There were clovers on the wings as well. |
